Our estimation is that features to do with travel between systems will define 4.0 and will come in late 2019. The main difference being that 4.0 originally encompassed concepts of traveling between star systems. Update 13th February 2018, on the Roadmap we have 3.4 instead of 4.0. It looks like 5.0 could be the next possible major patch to include them. Update 31st August 2019:: 4.0 has been added to the RSI Roadmap and still does not feature the original 3.4 major features such as Traveling to Multiple Star Systems, Science and Research or Exploration & Discovery.
